She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis J. Hendershot, Sr. and Hazel "Peg" Hendershot; and her husband James Carl Creek, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Connie Creek, Sandra Bucher, David Creek, Sr. (Brenda), Philip Creek and Matthew Creek, Sr. (Lisa); and her siblings, MaryElen Willingham, Valetta J. Boudreau, Rhoda Reed, Pearl Rebecca Hendershot and Norval E. Hendershot. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center (95 Union St, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in LaVerne's memory may be made directly to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
