It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie C. Dowdy (Havre de Grace, Maryland), who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lacey Broyles and Zettie Broyles; and her son-in-law Walter Stallworth, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Joe Lee Dowdy; her children, Dorva Ann Dowdy, Canton of Michigan, Cecelia Dawn Dowdy (Christopher), Greenbelt of Maryland, Raquel Monique Stallworth, Havre of Grace, Maryland and JoAnna Marie Dowdy; her son-in-law Christopher Lloyd Toomer; her grandson Christopher Lloyd Toomer, Jr.; and her sister Matilda Brandon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
