She is survived by: her parents, Renee Brooks and Brainard Hyson Jr. Denaisha; her brother Brainard Hyson; her grandparents, Charlene Crockett, Archie Crockett (Carolyn), Brainard and Rosemary Hyson; her uncle Warren Hyson; her aunts, Janet Crockett, Keesha Crockett, Joan Hyson and Donna Williams; her cousins, Loren Hyson, Christopher Hyson, Cameron Hyson, Melvin Dickerson, Tomeka Crockett, Jasmine Crockett, Marcus Dickerson, Willam Crockett, Sierra Thomas and Desron Pearson Jr.; her close friend Jamal Ponton; and also, Tawanda Wade and Sophia Abraham. She is also survived by aunts, uncle, cousins, other relatives and friends.

While attending Suitland High School she was enrolled into their cosmetology program which gave her the foundation to start creating her own wigs.
