It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman E. Hawkins Jr. of Jarrettsville, Maryland, who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Herman leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Herman may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman E. Hawkins Sr. and Hattie Delores Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Melissa A. Hawkins; his son Herman Ellsworth Hawkins III; and his stepchild Aiyanna Melissa Hawkins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Adams United Methodist Church (937 Bayard Rd, Lothian, MD 20711). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at the Adams United Methodist Church Cemetery (937 Bayard Rd, Lothian, MD 20711).
