John William Poole Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John William Poole Jr. of Jarrettsville, Maryland, who passed away on July 14, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret "Peggy" Poole, and John William Poole, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Poole; his children, John "Jack" William Poole, III (Laura) and Linda Ann Wunner (John); his grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" William Poole (Heather), Brian William Wunner, Stephanie Poole Rosebaugh (Jeff) and Brenda Lynn Wunner; his great grandchildren, Hunter Elizabeth Schlicht-Wunner, Jack Andrew Poole, Mia Grace Poole and Raegan Nicole Poole; and his sister-in-law Gail Thomas (David). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the William Watters United Methodist Church (1452 Jarrettsville Rd, Jarrettsville, MD 21084). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions my be made to Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company (P.O. Box 307, Jarrettsville, MD 21084), William Watters Memorial United Methodist Church (1452 Jarrettsville Road, Jarrettsville, MD 21084 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital).
