He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Eugene Clayton and Cora May Messner; and his siblings, John, Eddy, Charles (Sonny) and Marianne.
He is survived by: his children, Philip Rodney Clayton, Mary Elizabeth McHenry (Danny), Joseph Edward Clayton (Betsy), Marjorie Ann Suastegui (Lauro), Rebekah Jean Marquez (Luis), David Eugene Clayton (Stefanie) and Amy May Clayton; his wife Gloria Jean Clayton; his grandchildren, Megan Smith (Holden), Cassi Clayton (Radak), Kyle Clayton, Lauren Armbruster (Zach), Mallory Spry (Travis), Cory Clayton, Angeles Marquez (Henry), Keelyn Clayton, Annistyn Clayton, Brayden Wallace, Landon Wallace and Waylon David Clayton; and his great grandchildren, Lucy, Ella, Nash, Cain, Forest and Jax. He is also survived by his children and their spouses.
