Donna McKenzie Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2021, at the age of 72, Donna McKenzie of La Plata, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Pat and Francis "Frank" Waigand; her brother Robert Waigand; her son Brandon; and her stepson Mark "Mick" McKenzie.
She is survived by: her husband Gibson "Ed" McKenzie; her children, Amanda "Mandy" McKenzie (Josiah Kohnhorst) of Cobb Island, Patricia "Tricia" Shaw (CJ) of La Plata and Wyatt McKenzie (Ross Hollander) of Washington, DC; her stepdaughter Malissa Martin (Greg) of Brightwood, Virginia; her grandchildren, Lucas, Kelsey McCulley, Alyssa, Payton Buckler, Kaleigh, Carson, Canton and Charley Shaw; her sister Patricia Butler of Takoma Park; and her sibling's children, Jackie, Wayne Butler, Kent Carpenter and Janet Carpenter Clemens. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the La Plata United Methodist Church on Friday, March 5th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm with COVID safety measures in place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the La Plata United Methodist Church or the Children's Hospital Foundation celebrating the unconditional love she had for her special needs granddaughter, Alyssa Lynn.
