She was predeceased by : her parents, Levi Thomas Wellons Jr. and Frances Elizabeth Wellons (Winter); her son Michael Charles Vernon Sr.; her daughter-in-law Georgiana Badovinac-Vernon; and her brothers, Levi Thomas Wellons III and William Winter Wellons.

She is survived by : her husband Donald Martin Vernon Jr.; her daughters, Lora Vernon-Kidd (Michael) and Julianne "Juli" Zutant (Jason); her grandson Michael Vernon Jr.; her great grandchild Jett Vernon; and her sister-in-law Diane Wellons. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
