With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ida Mae Gannon (Laplata, Maryland), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 1, 2020 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Kaplan and Ruby Mae Kaplan (Croson); and her son Robert Sweeney. She is survived by: her former husband Allan Lee Sweeney; her husband Henry M. Gannon; her children, Brenda Teutsch (David) of LaPlata, MD, John Sweeney (Susan) of Waldorf, MD, Jeffrey Sweeney (Louise) of Bryans Road, MD and Greg Snoots (Dottie); her brother Charles L. Kaplan of Bowie, MD.; her sister-in-law Rosemarie Moore (Douglas); and her cousin Melvin Fones (Sarah). She is also survived by grandchildren, fifteen (15) great-grandchildren and six (6) great-great grandchildren.
