With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Joan Pomerantz of Laurel, Maryland, who passed away on August 6, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Goddard and Gertrude Goddard; her husband Albert Pomerantz; and her son Michael Pomerantz. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Pomerantz (Karen), Stephen Pomerantz, David Pomerantz (Dana) and Laurie Nicholls (Pomerantz); her grandchildren, Tara, Tracy, Jacob, Anna, Colin, Jonathan, Justin, Zachary, Matthew, Morgan, Allison, Sarah, Kyle and Maeghan; her great grandchildren, Aliya, Kacie, Jackson, Aria, Cassian, Jayce and Sebastian; and her sisters, Delores Gans of Vernon and British Columbia.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Donaldson Funeral Home (313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707).
In Lieu of flowers, the family request charitable donations be made in Joan's name to The American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
