He is survived by: his parents, Lyman Lewis and Catherine Minerva Souder; his wife Joyce; his children, Ernest Butts Souder, Jr., Jeffrey Lee Souder, Cynthia Jo Rollins and Sheila Rae Souder; and his sister Susie Sweet Souder. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the worldwide work of Jehovah's Witnesses, Gilchrest Hospice or cancer research.
