It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Moore of Laurel, Maryland, born in Olney, Maryland, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Lucille Groomes and Ernest Sylvester Miles; her siblings, Elroy Miles and Marilyn Dorsey; her nephew Michael Moore; and her great-nephew Devin Blackman.
She is survived by: her son Keith Douglas Moore; her husband Carl Moore; her sisters, Doris Nicolas (Harry), Paula Gaither and Beverly Dorsey; her sister-in-law Diane Moore; her siblings' children, Paul Blackman (Tammy), Charles Moore, Tiffany Barnes (Sterling), Jacqueline Chambers (Larry) and Kelly Gaither; her aunts and uncles, Warren Stanton, Charles Moore (Pearl), Lawrence Stanton, Peggy Moore and Shirley Foreman (Jimmy); her cousin Dawne Stanton; her godchildren, Paul Blackman, Stephanie Mobley and Brandon Powell; Paul Dorsey. She is also survived by cousins, family and friends.
Irene loved everything about Christmas from decorations, movies, and family time; annual trips with friends to the Williamsburg outlets; and serving as an advocate to the American Cancer Association Relay for Life charity.
