He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Azar "George" and Selma Salem (Lofty); his wife Florence L. Salem; and his children, Mary, Eric, Jane, Kristine and Suzanne. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
