He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Thomas Smitson and Sadie Elizabeth Sealock of Lusby, MD.; his daughter Laura Davis; his son-in-law William Davis III; his granddaughters, Paige and Shyenne Davis; his brother Benjamin Smitson; his sister-in-law Debbie Smitson; his wife Bevery Smitson; and his siblings, Francis Harrell, Mary Smitherman, Robert Thorpe, Jimmy Thorpe, Melvin Smitson and Nancy Stamm. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
