He is survived by: his brother Harry; his wife Lillian D. Schuirmann; his children, Donald John Schuirmann (Linda McGivern) and Terry Leigh Severson (Christopher); and his granddaughters, Mary Morgana Schuirmann, Kayla Brooke Severson and Leah Paige Severson.
