It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clarence Fansler Jr. of Lavale, Maryland, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Fansler, Sr. and Millie Fansler (Moore); his siblings, Bertha, Walter, Billy, Mary Lee Wolfe and Willa Jean Cool; his nephew John Little; his son-in-law Edward Powell; and his father-in-law Arthur Hannas (Lillian Hannas-Heavner).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Fansler (Hannas); his daughters, Diana Umstot (Donnie) and Marsha Powell; his grandchildren, Dylan Umstot (Alyssa), Derek Umstot, Bradley Powell and Breanna Powell; his sister-in-law Kathy Walizer; and his brothers, Ronnie Fansler (Elaine) and Danny Fansler (Kim).
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A masonic service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Potomac Lodge #100. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Red's memory to the Ali Ghan Shrine Transportation Fund, P.O. Box 1416, Cumberland, MD 21502, or to the Central Assembly of God "Dream Again" Fund, 2020 Bedford Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
