She was predeceased by : her husband Charles Sledge, Sr.; and her brother William Fout. She is survived by : her sons, Tommy Dodson and Charles Sledge, Jr.; her grandchildren, Christopher, Jimmy, Aaliyah and Dana; her siblings, Thomas Dodson, Jr. (Amy), Charles Dodson, James Dodson, Harold Dodson, Dorothy Dodson and Nancy Hamilton; her nieces, Nancy of Tommy, III, Jodi, Cara and Nicole; and her close friend Tricia Byers.
