She was predeceased by : her parents, John Hemmings and Ruth Mewshaw Hemmings; and her brother John Hemmings. She is survived by : her husband Richard Allen "Rick" Wiles, Sr. of Millersville; her son Richard Allen Wiles, Jr. (Alyssa) of Severna Park; and her grandchildren, Bode and Kennedy Wiles.

“Rick and Family, we were so sorry to learn that Linda had passed. She was such a wonderful teacher to our children and they loved her. She always cared about her students and it showed. Whenever we would see her, she would ask about ours and would say to tell them hi. She was also one of our favorite teachers and all around person. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, the Colburn family”
