It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy P. Stockslager of Mount Airy, Maryland, born in Flint Hill, Virginia, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanford Jackson Payne and Mary Bradford Payne; her husband Stanley Jones Stockslager; and her son Earl Stanley Stockslager. She is survived by: her children, Imogene "Sunny" Combs (Richard) and Richard Allen Stockslager (Tammy); her grandchildren, Laura Norton (Benjamin), Scott Stockslager, Lynn Diehl (Matthew), Todd Stockslager, Lydia Combs, Steven Stockslager and Christopher "CJ" Stockslager; and her great grandchildren, Alexandra "Allie" Norton, Joseph Stockslager and Benjamin Diehl. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
