She was predeceased by: her parents, Rockward A. Sr. Nusbaum and Pearl A. Starr Nusbaum; her husband Willard Mahanes; her son Douglas W. John; and her daughter-in-law Sheila John.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa John, Judy John, Nancy Owings (Harry) and Jay John; her stepchildren, Patricia Rohn of Charlottesville, VA and Stephen Mahanes (Judy); her grandchildren, Dawn Mills, Anita John, Michael Storey, Jeffrey Storey, Terri Gillis, David Storey, Ryan John, Amanda Bryson, Cheryl Rill, Brian Owings and Timothy Owings; her sister-in-law Edith Duff; and her daughter-in-law Christine Devilbiss.
