He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Treut and Essie May Persell Treut; his wife Caroline A. McKinney Treut; and his brothers, Leon, Lloyd and George Treut.

He is survived by : his sons, Donald R. (Lisa) of North East, MD, Scott M. Elkton, MD (Flora) and Douglas G. (Leslie) of Selma, TX. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church (2038 Pleasant Valley Rd, Newark, DE 19702). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at the Bay View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1703, Elkton, MD 21922-1703.
