It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karl Lee Pile of North Potomac, Maryland, born in Friedens, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Pile and Ruth Pile; and his fathers-in-law, Victor Gebhart and Robert Hittie. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Coleman Pile; his children, Brian Pile (Jill), Karla Pile, Denise Wood (Greg) and Kevin Pile (Kim); his grandchildren, Kyle Snodderly (Courtney), Bethany Isaac, Christopher McSherry (Lauren), Alexandra Isaac and Zachary Webb; his great grandchildren, Devonte, Juliette and Otto; his siblings, Thelma Miller (Robert), Jean Hittie and Patricia Gebhart; and his sister-in-law Norma Pile.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering qualified families up to $9, 000 for funeral expenses incurred due to the death of a loved one from COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused immense grief for so many people.
