He is survived by: his wife Franny; his children, Troy Purnell (Lauralee) and Michele Canady (Stan); his stepsons, Jeffrey Phillips (Erika) and Hugh Phillips (Heather); his grandchildren, Brittany Purnell (Dakota Bittner), Austin Purnell (Hannah), Samantha Schwarz, Hunter Wood, Wyatt Wood, Sadie Canady, Ellie Phillips and Dax Phillips; his great grandchildren, Addison McMillan, Ezra Thrower, Harper Purnell and Tannis Canady; and his many Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, Worcester Preparatory School, or St. Mary Star of Sea.
