He is survived by: his parents, Harold D. Flynn and Betty Lucille Flynn (Phelps) of Ocean Pines; his wife Shannon L. Flynn; his children, Daniel R. Flynn (Carrie), Samantha L Flynn (Cory) and Gregory M. Flynn (Cristina); his sisters, Deborah Rapp and Louise Fankell; and his grandchildren, Eden, Phoebe, Zacharyah, Ares and Thea.
After receiving a kidney donation in 2014, Michael and other family members helped raise funds for the National Kidney Foundation through several events. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to the National Kidney Foundation in commemoration of Michael's life, at 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016 (http://www.kidney.org).
