He was predeceased by: his parents, William Haiber and Flossie Haiber; his wife Betty; and his brothers, Billy, Homer and Fred.

He is survived by: his sister Sylvia Bogan; his children, Steven (Linda), Charlie (Fran Higginbotham), Richard (Carrie), Sharon (John Dobson), Timothy Haiber and Carolyn Taylorson (Brian); his grandchildren, Patricia, Karen, Diane, Richard Haiber Jr. (Amanda) and Ashley Nicholson (Tim); and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Cole Haiber, T. J. and Riley Rose Nicholson.
