He was predeceased by : his wife Dorothy E. Schmidt; his son Charles W. Schmidt; and his sister Betty Bond. He is survived by : his children, John C. Schmidt (Linda), Carol L. Jagoe (Robert) and Richard W. Schmidt (Holly). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
