He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles E. Dukes and Ethel White Dukes; his siblings, Irvin Dukes and Charlene Layton; and his son Dennis.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley M. Dukes; his children, Craig Dukes (Chris) of Seaford and Dawn Collins (Mark) of Laurel; his sister-in-law Delorius Dukes of Laurel; his stepdaughters, Carol Mason of Salisbury, MD, Tammy Provost (John) of Princess Anne, MD and Linda Seegard (Richard) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Megan Speake (Brandon) of Seaford, Kelsey Lloyd (Chad) of Laurel, Zachary Collins (Mackenzie) of Laurel, Brandon Mason of Orlando, FL, Trevor Provost and Kirsten Provost of Princess Anne, MD; his great grandchildren, Ashton, Karson, Gracyn, Brandon and Ryann; and his pet Tiffany.
