He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton B. Thaw and Ruth Miller; and his stepson Todd Wootten. He is survived by: his wife Karen A. Thaw; his sons, Rand Thaw (Kelly) and Kurt Thaw (Melanie); his grandchildren, Chelsea Thaw, Brian Thaw, Carley Thaw, Emily Thaw and Zoe Thaw; his stepsons, Jeffrey Wootten (Vicki) and David Wootten (Nancy); his stepgrandchildren, Jarrod Wootten, Heath Wootten, April Chiarello, Deborah Kramer, John Cooney, Dustin Burton, Caitlin Burton, Abbott Wootten and Rachael Wootten; and his siblings, Bill Helmuth and Penney Thaw. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
