He was predeceased by: his parents, Kitty Scott and George Scott; his son Ronney Scott Jr.; his grandson Martin Newburger; and his former wife Ann Scott.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Newburger (Michael) of Chesapeake Beach, MD; his brother Reese Scott (Gail) of Pasadena; and his grandson Michael Newburger, Jr. (Kelly). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
