With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrie Mae Farrington of Port Deposit, Maryland, born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2023 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by : her parents, Lewis A. Spears and Bertha Spears (Cornett); her spouse Evert Paul Holcomb; her son Ronnie Lee Holcomb; her grandson Bradley Ball; her stepson Thomas Farrington; her nephew Eddie Spears; her siblings, Edgar, Albert, Wayne, Willard Spears and Winnie Beshears; and her brothers-in-law, Lary Cook and Noah Beshears.

She is survived by : her daughter Tonia R. (Holcomb); her granddaughters, Emily Ball of Chapel Hill, NC and Hannah Ball of Havre de Grace, MD; her stepgrandson Thomas Farrington, Jr. of Germany; her siblings, James Spears (Arlene) of Wilkesboro, NC, Larry Spears (Deanna) of Purlear, NC and Geri Cook of Palm Coast, FL; and her nieces and nephews, Kenny, Rodney, Charles Spears, Gene Absher, Jr., Rita Cubert, Teresa Spears, Penny Dancy and Dawn Holston (Michael) of Bel Air, MD.
