We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2021, at the age of 91, Joseph Sullenberger of Port Deposit, Maryland, born in Luxor, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Blanche Sullenberger and Joseph Sullenberger; his wife Jessie Ann Sullenberger; his grandson Aaron Roy Simpers; his stepmother Margie Sullenberger; and his siblings, Robert, Thomas, Edward, Jim Sullenberger, Helen, Minnie and Teet.
He is survived by : his great grandchild Bella Rose; his children, Timothy Raetz (Lisa), Jennifer Sullenberger (Dean), Joseph Sullenberger (Peggy) and Penny Simpers; his grandchildren, Miranda, Joshua, Justin, Tyler, Kelsey, Kyle, Hannah, Ragan, Victoria, Logan, Colter and Riley; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Zach, Gabe, Isabella, Hunter, Emma and Deacon; and his siblings, Charles, Richard, Eugene, Bill Sullenberger and Margaret Kopetsky. He is also survived by sisters-in-law that he loved dearly, Betty and Ann Sullenberger; and several nieces and nephews.
