It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Marie Crunkleton of Port Republic, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on December 7, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William C. Hicks and Cecelia Drury Hicks; her brothers, William C. Hicks, Jr. and Joseph A. "Sonny" Hicks; and her husband Joseph A. Crunkleton.
She is survived by : her children, Patricia A. Gott (Randal), Joseph A. Crunkleton, Jr. (Rose) and Karen M. Brown (Michael); her grandchildren, Jacob R. Gott, Patricia J. Plumer (Michael), Kyle J. Gott (Hallie), Christopher J. Crunkleton, Calvin G. Crunkleton, Joseph A. Crunkleton, III, Joshua L. Crunkleton (Megan), Heather M. Espaderos (Edwin), Zachary R. Brown, Tyler M. Brown and Matthew Q. Brown; her great grandchildren, Kyleigh M. Plumer, Parker K. Crunkleton, Lennon G. Espaderos, Levi M. Plumer and Emmett K. Crunkleton; and her brother F. Allen Hicks. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren and other family members.
