She was predeceased by: her son John K Hutchison; her husband William "Bill" Hutchison; and her parents, Hyman S. Lipman and Ruth Lipman. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Emily Thomason, Kenny Thomason and Billy Thomason; and her great grandchild Alyssa Thomason.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in her name to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Elephant Sanctuary of Tennessee or the Hatteras Island Wildlife Rehabilitation.
