He is survived by: his wife Grace; his sons, Robert Rood and Timothy Rood; his daughter-in-law Bridget; his brother William Rood; and his grandchildren, Grace, Timothy, Jake and Jackson.

In lieu of of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Francis's Church or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
