She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy K. Geihsler and Paul G. Geihsler; her former husband William Robbins, Jr.; her son William Robbins (Rusty); and her grandson Jason Alexander.
She is survived by: her son Paul Robbins (Greg) of Federalsburg; her husband John Monroe of Preston; her stepchildren, Nancy Kay Alexander (Pete) of Bene and Michael Monroe (Sarah) of Collierville; her sisters, Patricia Parrott (Charles) of Royal Oak and Denise Mitchell (Danny) of Preston; her grandchildren, Lauren Robbins, Rebecca Robbins, Emily Alexander, Claire Alexander and Britten Robbins; and her stepgrandsons, Anthony Hughes and Hunter Hughes.
Sandy worked for many years at the Maryland State Hospital in Cambridge before then working at Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care in Easton, MD until her retirement.
