She was predeceased by: her father William E. Burton; and her sister Linda. She is survived by: her mother Naomi L. [Griffith]; her husband James E. Simms, Jr.; her children, Tim Higgins (Erica), Jimmy Simms (Lauren), Shawn Higgins (Patti) and Chris Simms (Amanda); her grandchildren, Gianna, Averie, Amelia, Brantley, Owen and Tanner; and her brothers, Billy, Lee, Russell and Robbie.
