He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Pleasants and Margie Harlow Pleasants; his spouse Arlene Phillips; and his siblings, Edward A. Pleasants, Jr. and Barbara Ann Pleasants.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Allison Pleasants and Maddie Pleasants; and his sister Carolyn Pleasants Graham of Powhatan, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
