We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2021, at the age of 88, Bernard Coates of Royal Oak, Maryland, born in Easton, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Alan Coates and Frieda B. Coates; his wife Nancy Ruth Coates (Ginter); his children, Susan Anne Coates of Belcamp, MD and Robert Alan Coates of Sykesville, MD; and his sister Evelyn Corbin of Easton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Lutheran Church, Easton, or to the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Gettysburg, PA, would be appreciated.
