She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Matthews and Mae P. Richardson; and her son Michael Evans. She is survived by: her husband Franklin "Teddy" R. Evans; her children, Dana H. Bell and Mark E. Evans (Tammy); her grandsons, Travis Holyfield and Alex Holyfield; her son-in-law Danny Holyfield; her granddaughter Sophie Evans; her great grandchildren, Layla Savage, Lily Holyfield, Laural Holyfield and Taylor Holyfield; and her stepbrother Allan Richardson (Jackie). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
