He was predeceased by: his wife Nora Sedgwick; his son Francis Sedgwick Jr. (Billy); his mother Susie Kurtz; his parents-in-law, Hubert and Norma Johnson; his brother-in-law Bruce Johnson; his brothers, Richard Kurtz, Jackie Kurtz and Ronald Sedgwick; and his siblings' children, Tonya Johnson, Andrea Johnson, Karen Thomas, Tammy Allen and Chad Kurtz.
He is survived by: his daughter Catrice Parsons (Jimmy); his brother James Sedgwick (Penny); his brother-in-law Wayne Johnson (Beth); his sister Esther Travers; and his grandchildren, Whitney Sedgwick, Nicollette Parsons, Bruce Sedgwick, Malissa, Hill, Dylan Sedgwick and William Parsons. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel Wesleyan Church for their Adopt a Block program.
