He is survived by: his sons, Harold Hammond of Havre and Michael Hammond, Sr. (Sheila) of Fruitland, MD; his grandsons, Keith Hammond (Heather) of Abingdon, MD, Brian Hammond (Mary Alice) of Abingdon, MD and Michael Hammond, Jr. of Salisbury; his daughter-in-law Linda Hammond of Phoenix, AZ; his sister-in-law June Harmon of Salisbury; his niece Barbara Ferebee (Terrence) of Salisbury; and his great grandchildren, Thomas of Abingdon, Charles of Abingdon, Elizabeth of Abingdon, Allison of Abingdon, James Hammond of Abingdon and Weeping Mary. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.
