It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mable Townsend of Snow Hill, Maryland, born in Girdletree, Maryland, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orvin Dennis, Sr. and Rev. Viola Schoolfield Dennis; and her husband Benjamin F. Townsend, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Vivian Ballard (James), Brenda Townsend, Carolyn Wharton (Rashawn), Anthony Townsend, Felton Townsend (Gail), Benjamin Townsend, Jr. (Deborah) and Welton Townsend; and her sister Elsie Truitt. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
