He was predeceased by : his parents, Noah Ames and Lieselotte Pennewell; and his wife Barbara Pennewell (Bell). He is survived by : his children, Brandy Pennewell (Florian), Annette Furst (Chase), Jackalynn Pennewell, Bethany Pennewell, Grace Pennewell and William Pennewell; his grandchildren, Paul Pennewell and Ava Furst; and his sisters, Sabine Nichols (Bruce) and Brigitte Pennewell.
