He was predeceased by : his father James Henry Deel; and his sister Victoria Vale. He is survived by : his mother Karen A. Deel-Copeland of Monrovia, MD; his close friend Barbara Hatfield; his siblings, Lynn Dunn, Larry Copeland and Rick Copeland; and his son Gary Hatfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
