It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Akers (Sykesville, Maryland), born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on July 5, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jackson Rogers and Marie Rogers; her husbands, Joseph P Urie and Robert P Akers; her daughter Elizabeth; her siblings, Edith, Edward and Jackie; and her grandson Danny.

She is survived by : her children, Kathy, Diane (David), Jackson (Lisa) and David (Peggy); and her grandchildren, Christopher, Laura, Caroline, Matthew, Lisa, Robert, Joseph, Sarah and Rebecca.
