He is survived by: his wife Susan Zimmerman Meekins; his son Wayde A. Zimmerman; his parents, Angus Meekins and Betty Meekins; his brother Denny (Joyce Meekins); his siblings-in-law, Terri (Joe Spann), Bill (Bonnie Zimmerman) and Berry Zimmerman (Connie Bauer); and his uncles, Breman (Doris), Pat (Lee), Bob (Mary Jo), Larry (Sarah) and Ted. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
