He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emory Clapsaddle and Mary Clapsaddle; his former spouse Jean Harner; his wife Barbara Gail; his children, Leslie A. Taylor, Lynn L. Fabrick, Susan J. Thursby and Amy M. Thomas; his stepchildren, Kevin Daughton and Tracey Hirsch; his grandchildren, Zachary, Derek Taylor, Paul, Daniel, Michael, Rachel Fabrick, John Thursby, Jennifer and Jessica Thomas; his stepgrandchildren, Joseph Daughton, Miranda Lane, Britany Breeden, Ryan Hirsch and Christopher Hirsch; his great grandchild Maylen Taylor; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brianna, Kendall Hirsch and Raylee Breeden; and his siblings, Keith Clapsaddle, Marion Fortenbaugh, Edith Funt, Arlene Murray, Earl Clapsaddle, Janet Bailey and Anna Clapsaddle.
