He was predeceased by: his son Donald R. Clarke. He is survived by: his wife Nancy V. Clarke; his children, Jeffrey D. Clarke and Joanna R. Smith; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Kristen, David and Jeanette. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
