He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Martha M. Durian; his children, Amy D. Backhaus (Paul) and Adam D. Durian; his grandchildren, Caroline Michele Garrison, Kayla Brooke Garrison, Ian Adam Backhaus, Joshua David Backhaus and Timothy Joseph Backhaus; and his siblings, Steven Durian (Pam) and Diane Maxwell (Mike). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
