He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Flanigan and Alice Flanigan; and his siblings, Lillian Richards, Kathlyne Neubert, Dolores Kennedy, George Flanigan, Richard Flanigan, John Flanigan and Gerald Flanigan.

He is survived by: his significant other Jane Getzendanner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
